Pilates Exercises

Specific exercise for you and your condition is one BIG key to helping you hold your alignment thus reducing your symptoms. The goal would be to increase your activity by only 10% per week. This is such a new concept for most Americans. We want to begin exercising every day for two weeks straight. We want to do five push-ups or sit-ups a day, 15 tomorrow, 25 the next day, then 40 the following day. When you begin that way ( by not following the 10% rule)  there is a HUGH RISK of flaring up a past condition or creating a new condition.  Use the 10% rule by only increasing your activity by 10% per week. This can take the risk of a flare up down to almost nothing. Instead, focus on where your exercise goals are going to take you in six months or one year.
